The Crockpot is a quarterly live music experience that fuses art, music, soul food and Southern hospitality!!! It is currently being cultivated in Los Angeles, California with plans to tour nationally and worldwide. This music experience has been setting the bar high since 2013 by consistently booking undeniable talent…sometimes even before the rest of the world finds out about them, as well as curating our event in a way that fosters a sense of community amongst musicians, performers and supporters.

By creating something fulfilling and FOR THE PEOPLE…we fill a much needed void here in Los Angeles. For hundreds of artists, singers, songwriters, producers, musicians, dancers, and even painters we have created a home away from home…a safe space…and a platform where voices with purpose can be heard no matter the politics or popularity.

We have been dedicated to raising the vibrations of the state of music, being a strong representation of Black Excellence in music and entertainment, and showing by leading by example...the importance of community and ownership of our art, ideas and music.

Our motto is "Starve the Ego, Feed the Soul". We realize that music is the most powerful and universal tool there is to HEAL people and evoke change, and what better way to do that than to create a platform where our whole mission is to put artists that are gifted and that can be vessels on the stage. Our curation is UNMATCHED. Our grassroots platform has inspired numerous other live music events to spark in Los Angeles, it has been a beneficial platform for independent artists to break through to a new fan well as be discovered by music execs, managers, and A&R’s who have also made themselves regulars at The Crockpot, and it has been a staple in the Leimert Park community since 2014.

After introducing The Crockpot to Leimert Park during the Artwalk July 27, 2014, we felt it was our most fulfilling purpose filled show of them all, and it naturally became the home for many of our events. Bringing together families, seeing multi generations of people enjoying our productions and leaving inspired is something that will never get old.

Since July 2014, every last Sunday of the month The27Brand teams up with Kaos Network and the Leimert Park Artwalk to host a variety of shows, events, and activities for the community.

Starting in June of 2017, The27Brand and The Crockpot decided to team up with other community promoters in order to expand our efforts and be more inclusive of other organizations and leaders within our community. This birthed a whole #WELOVELEIMERT movement that has grown to be even more powerful than what we initially imagined.
